  • Twilight Camp Last change sign up without a late fee. Deadline is Wednesday of this week. After that date, t-shirts may not be available. Twilight camp is a blast and the boys and adults always enjoy it. Information and Training sessions This week; Tuesday evening and again on Wednesday evening.
  • Spring Wring Out -- Unit Leaders, send your rosters to RFrederi@BSAmail.org.
  • Spring_Recruitment -- is underway, Unit leaders don't forget to recruit.
  • Boy Scout Roundtable -- Tuesday 5/13/2008 at 7:30PM, Bike Hikes.
  • Archery Level I -- Saturday 5/31/2008 Archery training for Scout Leaders. Bring archery to your unit.
  • Venturing News -- Last update Monday 04/14/2008.   Venturing Specific News. Venturing Roundtable, Tuesday, 5/20/2008 at 7:30pm.
  • National Youth Leadership Training -- National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) (Flyer) (Golden Acorn) has some big changes in 2008! There will be two sessions in spring 2008, three summer sessions and one winter session.
  • Boy Scout Night, Dallas Desperados -- Saturday, 5/17/2008 7:00pm American Airlines Center.
  • Philmont -- Troops 577 and 719 have room for a few scouts. Philmont is a "not to be missed" scouting opportunity.
  • Texas Sea Base -- Scouts and Venturers 16 years old and older, there are 4 openings this summer.
  • Uniform Closet -- The Uniform Closet is in need of "gently used and experienced" uniforms and other scouting materials.
  • Junior Staff Needed -- for Twilight camp, please let the camp director know ASAP that you can help. Scoutmasters, encourage your scouts to "give back" and get service hours.
  • Safety Fair -- Saturday, 5/17/2008 Dallas Police Department Sponsored event. Lots of activities for scouts of all ages.
  • Memorial Day Tribute Concert -- 5/27/2008 Hillcrest High School 7:00pm.
  • Camporee Results -- Final edition of Camporee News. Camporee Pictures.
  • Arrow Corps 5 -- Please help with this important nationwide service project. Arrowmen, Check out the updated www.miki.org website.
  • Webelos Resident Camp -- Start the adventure of summer camp with your Webelos Scout son at James Ray Scout Reservation. Webelos Camp is offered during the weeks of June 15 through June 28 (4 different sessions) on beautiful Lake Texoma.
  • National Scout Museum -- The museum in Irving has a number of programs including merit badge classes.
  • Scout Shop -- The Scout Shop has a two-fer sale on switchbacks(tm).
  • Retired Flags -- If your troop is interested in conducting a flag disposal ceremony, a few worn flags are available. Contact Steven Page at steven.page@eds.com for more information.
