To the volunteers of the North Trail District:
From Ron Frederich, the new guy:

I am both flattered and honored to have the District Director position in North Trail. Ken has done an outstanding job, and his shoes will be hard to fill. Thankfully, I've got Jeff to help get me going. Although serving in the North Trail District will be a huge transition for me, I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with such a great group of Scouters.

I have spent the last twenty-one years with Circle Ten Council. My first assignment was with Scott Ferguson in the Gray Owl District. Next, I worked in the Southern Cross District, followed by the Golden Eagle District in "Learning For Life". My last and longest assignment was serving the Lakewood and East Dallas communities with the many fine volunteers of the White Buffalo District.

When I'm not scouting, you'll probably find me on a lake. It is a widely known fact that I have a life long passion for fishing. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to head up the Bass N'Clinic fish camp at Cherokee for 13 years. Those were some fun times interacting with the scouts and adult staff members (and the big ole bass). Lake Murchison is heaven on earth for me!

This coming March, my wife, Lucretia, and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. For almost 24 years, our home has been Coppell, where we have spent numerous hours following the band, the football team and participating in church activities. Our two daughters, Elise and Olivia, are both away at college now, so other than our dog, Pebbles, we are empty nesters!

Once again, I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of North Trail. I look forward to getting to know so many new folks, all with the common interest of making a difference in a young man's life.
