Scouting For Food Service Project!

Scouting for Food - February 13 and February 20. REGISTER NOW TO RESERVE YOUR AREA. With the tough economy and high unemployment, the need is greater than ever. Use this opportunity to teach by example what it means to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Get your Unit involved in this worthwhile National Scouting Service Project. We NEED your participation!

Your Unit can help in two ways:

  1. Distribute yellow bags on Saturday, February 13 to neighborhood homes and collect the bags filled with canned goods on the following Saturday, February 20; or
  2. If your Unit is a Troop or Venturing Crew, Man one of the four Collection Centers on February 20th. Check back later for the link to sign up for one the Collection Center locations.

  • All Units may sign up for ANY available Area.
  • Selected your area? Send an e-mail to nancyhburke@sbcglobal.net and provide the following information:
    1. Your Unit and Unit Number.
    2. Your desired Scouting for Food area(s) and/or Collection Center Request.
    3. Your Scouting for Food Coordinator's Name and Phone Number.

All over the Circle Ten Council and North Trail District.
 

When:

Distribute the bags on Saturday, February 13, 2010 -- Collect the bags on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Why:

Live the Scout Oath and Law with Service to others. Let's do a Good Turn for our community!
 

Cost:

None. Collection bags will be handed out at the January Roundtables.
