Youth Protection Training

New Training Accounts

Please note, it is NOT necessary to have a BSA membership card to complete the training. If you have never had an "account" on the training system, you can go directly to the "create a new account" here. This page will open in a new window. If you already have an account log on here.

Once there, fill in your first and last name and select Circle Ten Council using the drop down box.

If you have a BSA membership card with a number, enter that number in the Member ID field. If you don't have a membership card, leave the field blank. Click the "submit" button.

Fill out the form and make sure you make a note of the password you selected. Click "submit" and complete the process.

The system will confirm that an email has been sent to the email address you provided.

When the email arrives, click the link in the email and it will create your account. Your newly created account will not be activated until you click the link in the email.

Go to the normal log on screen and log on using your email address and the password you just created.

Once you have logged on, click the "E-LEARNING" link on the left hand side of the page.

One of the options will be "Youth Protecting Training" Click the "Take Course" link. Follow the instructions and complete the course and the test at the end. Be sure and print out at least two copies of your certificate.

Problems with accounts created in the past

If you are able to log in using a password you created some time ago, but the "E-LEARNING" link does not appear, it may be necessary to "upgrade" your account due to system changes.

Use this link and select the "YES" radio button to update your account. After you have upgraded you should then be able to see the menu after logging in. Select the E-LEARNING link and then select the "GENERAL" tab. One of the options will be "Youth Protecting Training" Click the "Take Course" link or "Retake Course" if you have done it before and your certificate has expired.

When you finish, print out two copies of the certificate. At any time in the future, you should be able to log back on and select "View Certificate" after you have completed the course.

If you are still having trouble send an email with your name, council and details of your problem to: myscouting@netbsa.org.
Help desk phone number: 1-800-627-3025

If that does not work, please let us know and we will try and help.

We want you to come to Twilight Camp and will help you resolve any problems with the training.
