Grand Canyon Trek 2008 Grand Canyon Trek 2008 will begin from the south rim and journey for 5 days through a cross section of the canyon's beauty, geology, and challenges over back county trails. March 15-22, 2008.

Early Summer Activity
Rocky Mountain Trek 2008 High Adventure Activity: Includes five nights on the trail and a day of white water rafting on the Arkansas River in Colorado. Check web for current information. July 11-21, 2008.

Boy Scout Leader Round Table: Up to the minute vital information and training for Boy Scout leaders:  Evening sessions on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
Venturing Leader Roundtable: Training and information for venture leaders. Evening Sessions; 3rd Tuesday of every month.
Cub Scout Leader Round Table: Everything you need to know for a great Cub Scout Program Tons of ideas and lots of folks to help. leaders. Evening sessions: 2nd Thursday of every month.
Cub Leader Training: High quality basic and specific training for all Tiger, Webelows leaders. Fall and Spring Sessions. Includes BALOO outdoor leader training for cub leaders.
Boy Scout Leader Training: High quality focused training for all adult leaders. Fall and Spring Sessions. Includes Outdoor Leader Training.
Venturing Leader Training: Basic and Specific Training for leaders in the Venturing program. Fall and Spring Sessions.

Den Chief Basic Training: Essential training for Boy Scouts serving as Den Chiefs. Click link for current information.
Wilderness Advanced First Aid Training This serious program, with professional instructors, trains participants to respond to emergencies in remote settings.
Safety Training: Safety afloat, safe swim defense and Climb on Safety training available. Check web for current information.
BALOO: Daylong training for cub leaders with emphasis on outdoor activities. Fall and Spring Sessions. Cub, Scout and Venturer leaders. Check web for current information.
Merit Badge Clinics: Opportunity for scouts to work on Merit badges during Saturday session. Check web for current information.
Emergency Preparedness: Offered in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security. All scouts and scouters can participate. Check web for current information.
Youth Protection Training: Required training for all adult leaders designed to insure a safe environment for all participants. Check website for "live" training. Web based training from BSA national can be found here. If you have trouble logging on, contact the council office.
Oak Leaf Training: Scouts 1st Class and above, Leadership training combined with a weekend campout. Fall and Spring Sessions. Check web for current information.
Woodbadge: Advanced training for adult leaders. (Check Council Website)
Golden Acorn: Advanced leadership training for Scouts. Week long summer program. Check Council website for current information.
Back Country Advanced Training: Evening and weekend camping program designed to teach vital skills for high adventure bound leaders and seasoned scouts. Check web for current information.
Powder horn: Intense Venturer leader training. Participants must have completed leader specific training. Check web for current information.
