RENDEZVOUS 2009


WHEN:
Friday 3 April 2009 - Sunday 5 April 2009 (Most activities will take place on Saturday 4 April)

WHERE: Camp Wisdom, Redbird Lane, Dallas, TX (Burr Oak Campsite)

WHO: All Venturing and Venturing age units in North Trail District, Circle Ten Council. (Venturing Units from other Districts and Councils are also invited to attend)

REGISTRATION: McDonald Campsite, Camp Wisdom

FEES: Registration: None

SHOOTING SPORTS: Approximately $4 per person

CAMPING: All units will camp in the McDonald, Indian Trail, Burr Oak, and Baden Powell Campsites at Camp Wisdom. Units should camp as units and will provide their own personal, camping, and camp cooking gear.

MEALS: All meals except the Saturday evening pot luck feast will be the responsibility of the units and will be done in the unit camping area.

SATURDAY EVENING FEAST: All units are to bring and prepare an entrée, side dish, and a dessert. Water and Bug Juice will be provided.

ACTIVITIES:Shooting Sports - back by popular demand (HANDGUNS, BLACK POWDER RIFLES, AND BLACK POWDER SHOTGUNS WILL BE PROVIDED - DO NOT BRING ANY PERSONAL FIREARMS !)
Land Navigation/Map and Compass /GPS: (Please bring a compass and/or gps if you have one)
Archery
Casting
Canoe tug-of-war
Casual Socializing

GAMES: Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Blind Volleyball, One Eyed Volleyball, Capture the Flag

CAMPFIRE: Saturday evening. In additions to skits, songs, etc, there will be a campfire ashes ceremony at the campfire. If you have campfire ashes you wish to add to the campfire, please bring them (and a copy of the pedigree list if you have one). As always, there will be the advisor socializing and forum.
